Hikers routinely photograph the sheer rock walls and peer over the massive unfenced precipice to hear the water echoing below. Standing near the edge allows you to experience the cool mist rising from the dark subterranean void.

How long should I spend at Hull Pot?
Allowing roughly half an hour provides plenty of time to take photos and safely marvel at the scale of the trench. Anyone combining the detour with a full ascent of Pen-y-ghent will need a few extra hours.
