Magical castle with stunning gardens is the perfect spot for a day out in the UK

Planning a short trip is always exciting, and while heading abroad is tempting, the UK is full of amazing places waiting to be explored.
One travel lover has shared her top choice for a perfect UK day out, which is a real-life fairytale castle that looks like something straight from a storybook.
TikTok creator Aleksandra, known as @aleksandra10s, posted a video for her 3,273 followers, calling it “one of the largest and most complete castles in England” with “beautiful gardens” and “pristine” surroundings.
The magical location she was talking about is Arundel Castle in Sussex.
In her video, Aleksandra showed stunning shots of the castle’s gardens and grand towers, set to Disney’s Beauty and the Beast soundtrack.
She captioned it: “Arundel Castle in Sussex is a real-life fairytale castle in pristine condition with beautiful gardens.
One of the largest and most complete castles in England, a gem worth visiting.”
Arundel Castle is a restored medieval fortress first built in the 11th century by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel.
The TikTok video quickly gathered praise, with many viewers saying it’s one of their favourite places in the country.
One person commented: “I love Arundel Castle, it’s one of my favourite places to visit.”
Another agreed, saying: “It’s such a magical place, like a real-life fairytale.”
A third added: “I live 10 minutes away and still love walking past it, it never gets old.”
The castle was damaged during the English Civil War but later restored in the 18th and 19th centuries by Charles Howard, the 11th Duke of Norfolk. More detailed restoration followed in the 1890s, led by architect Charles Alban Buckler for the 15th Duke.
