Tucked away in the small but lovely seaside village of Aberporth in Wales is one of the UK’s best secret beaches to check out this summer.
With the weather warming up and the school holidays just around the corner, families all over the UK are looking for fun places to go, and this hidden beach in Ceredigion should definitely be on the list.
Even though it’s known as one beach, Aberporth actually has two. Dyffryn Beach sits on the east side, while Dolwen Beach is over on the west.
Both beaches are super pretty, full of soft golden sand, and are home to some amazing sea animals. Visitors from all over come to enjoy this peaceful and beautiful spot.
It might not have the Blue Flag title right now, but it did win the award in 2023, and the water is still rated as ‘good’ quality.
The sand slopes gently into the sea, which makes it a great place for swimming, paddling, and lots of other fun beach activities.
People say it looks its best when the tide is low. That’s when the rock pools show up and you can spot cool creatures living in them.

You might even see orcas, porpoises, sunfish or even sharks if you’re lucky, as the beach is known for some awesome sea life.
There’s also loads of space to stretch out on the sand, perfect for sunbathing, chilling out, and soaking up the summer vibes.
It’s a dream come true for anyone who loves building sandcastles, and there’s definitely enough sand for everyone.
Just nearby, there’s a clifftop path that leads to the village of Tresaith, where you’ll get amazing sea views and a chance to spot bottlenose dolphins swimming in Cardigan Bay.
