The breathtaking Newcastle beauty spot with a waterfall loved by footballers’ partners

A stunning green space just outside Newcastle city centre has become a favourite spot for the partners of United players.

It’s less than a 10-minute drive from the heart of Newcastle, but this peaceful retreat feels like a completely different world.

It has become hugely popular with the United WAGs, who often share photos of their visits on Instagram.

The North East is blessed with incredible walking spots, from coastal paths along the beaches to trails by Hadrian’s Wall or routes with dramatic castles in the background.

But for one of the prettiest walks in Tyneside, Jesmond Dene is hard to beat.

Set in one of Newcastle’s most desirable postcodes, Jesmond Dene offers an escape from the busy city.

It’s the perfect place for dog walks, catch-ups with friends, or simply enjoying beautiful scenery, and of course, it’s great for Instagram shots too.

Several Newcastle United WAGs have become regular visitors, including Sandro Tonali’s fiancée Juliette Pastore and Sven Botman’s girlfriend Chana Kesselaar, who are often seen walking their dogs there together.

The wooded valley is full of wildlife, bridges, and winding paths, and it even has a beautiful waterfall, making it stand out from other walking spots nearby.

And don’t be surprised if you spot a famous face, stars like Cheryl and Joanna Lumley have stayed at the luxury Jesmond Dene House hotel overlooking the park.

Adding to the appeal, healthy eating café Lean Cuisine recently opened nearby after success in Gateshead. It’s already become a hit with walkers stopping for a drink or snack before heading into the Dene.
