Most magical Christmas market in the UK hailed as a true hidden gem

Although it’s only November, there’s no harm in getting ahead with your Christmas market plans.
With the big crowds they attract and some markets needing advance booking, being organised early is definitely a good idea.
One Christmas lover has revealed her favourite Christmas market, calling it “so incredible” and describing it as a real “hidden gem”.
She admits she was first “a bit reluctant” to share her discovery, but decided it was simply “too good” to keep secret.
Soraya is known for showing off the best places to eat, drink, stay and explore around the Peak District.
In a TikTok video, she shared clips from her visit to the Haddon Hall Christmas Market last year. Haddon Hall is a historic country house near the River Wye close to Bakewell in Derbyshire.
The grand estate has more than 900 years of history behind it and is filled with Medieval and Elizabethan architecture.
Sharing her excitement, Soraya said: “It’s the most beautiful, magical Christmas market you’ll go to.”
During her visit, she always treats herself to a cup of mulled wine before heading into the “spectacular courtyard”. She added that there are countless “stunning” stalls both inside the hall and outside on the grounds.
She also talked about the hall’s remarkable past, explaining that it has been used as a filming location for many well-known productions.
The building dates back to the 11th century, making it one of the oldest homes in Britain.
Film fans may recognise it from movies such as The Princess Bride (1986), Jane Eyre (1994), Pride and Prejudice (2004), Mary Queen of Scots (2018) and The King (2019).
Soraya went on to praise the decorations, saying they are “always stunning”, especially the Christmas tree where visitors can write their wishes and hang them up. She added: “And the place is full of products you’ll actually want to buy.”
She also noted that the hall offers “some of the best views in the Peak District, and the food offering is always amazing”.
