A hidden gem seaside spot with golden sand and an untouched charm could be the perfect choice for anyone planning a peaceful UK staycation.
This hidden gem, found in the South Hams area of South Devon, is loved by visitors for its stunning coastal views and relaxing atmosphere.
TikTok creator @storky_adventures shared a popular video of the village that’s gained thousands of likes.
She told followers: “This might be one of the best coastlines in Devon. Tucked away is a small seaside village with golden sands, turquoise water and a charm that feels completely untouched.”
She added: “It’s got a few lovely pubs and restaurants, but still feels really laid-back.
From here, you can join the South West Coast Path, which takes you past South Milton Sands, Thurlestone and all the way to Bantham.”
“Every step gives you gorgeous sea views and fresh air. You can grab something to eat, take a swim, or just enjoy the scenery. Salcombe isn’t far either, so there’s loads of beautiful places to explore nearby.”
Visit South Devon describes Hope Cove as a favourite among families, walkers and photographers.
The tourism board explains: “Hope Cove is made up of two sandy beaches, Inner Hope and Outer Hope, in the South Devon National Landscape, between Salcombe and Thurlestone.”
“Whether you walk in along the South West Coast Path or drive from Kingsbridge, this quiet cove feels peaceful and unspoiled. It’s a beautiful setting for beach days and photos, with lifeguards during summer and excellent water quality, making it ideal for families.”
“The smaller northern beach, Outer Hope, also called Mouthwell Sands, is especially popular for swimming, paddling and watersports. Its mix of soft sand and rocky spots makes it perfect for sandcastle building too.”
The tourism board adds: “With fantastic beaches and a lovely village nearby, Hope Cove is ideal for a full day by the sea. Whether you want to relax, explore or enjoy a family adventure, this beautiful part of Devon’s coastline promises a visit you won’t forget.”
