The magic of autumn in the UK is something truly special, turning even the simplest walk into a fairytale-like adventure.
Picture yourself strolling through a forest glowing with shades of orange, yellow and red, the sound of crisp leaves crunching beneath your feet, as if you’ve stepped into a storybook.
When these fiery autumn colours meet the gentle rush of a waterfall, it creates a breathtaking scene that could keep you mesmerised for hours.
For those searching for a peaceful escape or a touch of adventure, hidden among misty hills and quiet woodland paths lies a place so enchanting it feels like time has stopped.
This beautiful spot is Craigie Linn waterfall, found just outside of Paisley, near Glasgow.
The waterfall and its surrounding trail sit within Glen Park, part of the wider Gleniffer Braes Country Park, known for its stunning scenery and walking routes.
Although it isn’t one of the biggest waterfalls in the world, Craigie Linn has a charm that makes it unforgettable.
Fed by the Glen Burn, this lovely waterfall tumbles around eight metres, or roughly 26 feet, down a mossy rock face surrounded by lush greenery.
It may not match the size or power of Scotland’s grander Highland waterfalls, but when autumn arrives, the area transforms into something truly magical.
The falls are hidden at the end of a short woodland path lined with birch, beech and oak trees that glow with golden leaves during the season.
Experience Scotland’s Wild on TikTok recently shared this hidden treasure with thousands, captioning their video: “Hidden near Paisley, there’s a magical little spot called Craigie Linn.”
