Spectacular UK beach with views so magical that photos never do it justice

For a calm and relaxing day surrounded by nature, it is hard to find anywhere better than this beautiful beach in North Wales.

Famous for its incredible scenery on the Isle of Anglesey, this beach has become well known for its picture perfect views.

With soft golden sand, rolling dunes and the sea stretching out in front of you, the beach also offers stunning sights of the Snowdonia mountains.

As part of the Newborough Warren National Nature Reserve, the beach attracts people who enjoy kitesurfing, walking and spotting wildlife, yet many visitors still find complete peace and quiet here.

The walk towards the old lighthouse ruins is especially calm, and it can only be reached at low tide along a long sandy path.

One recent visitor described the island, the beach and the views as “magical” on TripAdvisor. They said: “Wow. One of the best beaches we have ever been to.

“Spectacular views, space and an adjoining forest area for walking too. The walk and views around Llanddwyn, a small island, are breathtaking. Photos cannot do it justice, and there is loads of parking for beach access too.”

Another happy visitor shared their experience of exploring the shoreline, writing: “A stroll down the beach, then as the tide goes out, the island becomes a peninsula.

There are many paths to explore, and it is worth using the smaller ones to the left as you come across deserted beaches and cliff tops with fantastic views over Snowdonia.

“I barely saw a soul! There are old buildings and plenty of stories to discover. The place is magical and a spot where you can simply sit and enjoy the moment.”

Whilst one traveller describes the beach as having “beautiful white sands”, others like to head into the woodland paths nearby.

One person wrote: “There is a path that leads through the grassy hills from the beach to the nature reserve on Llanddwyn Island (Ynys Llanddwyn), and the surrounding forest has an excellent network of footpaths.”

Remember - LeaveNoTrace!

As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since the pandemic is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!

Litter tends to spread, so if you see any and are able to pick it up and dispose of it outside the hidden gem, it will help keep the area tidy.
