Wales is home to a scenic treasure that is perfect for nature lovers who want to explore somewhere special.
Hidden inside the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park is a wonderful walking trail that winds through lush greenery and past incredible waterfalls.
You can even walk behind some of the rushing water, giving the whole place an almost tropical feel.
Known as one of the UK’s hidden gems, the Four Waterfalls Walk became widely known after a viral social media video.
People online have been amazed and are now eager to see this striking spot for themselves.
The stunning footage was shared by UK travel influencer @thetravelpixie, who wrote: “Can you believe this is in the UK?”, as reported by Wales Online.
As the name suggests, the trail takes walkers past four impressive waterfalls: Sgwd Clun Gwyn, Sgwd Isaf Clun Gwyn, Sgwd y Pannwr and Sgwd yr Eira.
The walk usually takes between three and four hours and can be tricky in places due to slippery paths, but the views make every step worthwhile. Walkers should dress suitably and wear sturdy shoes, taking care along the route.
Starting from the Gwaun Hepste car park, it takes only about half an hour to reach the first magical cascades. You will be welcomed by the dramatic upper and lower falls, which sit close together yet look completely different.
The upper falls crash down with great force, adding excitement to the walk, while the lower falls flow gently into a peaceful gorge.
Further along the path, after the third waterfall, you will reach Sgwd yr Eira, or the waterfall of snow.
This spot was once used for washing Welsh wool. Today, it offers a thrilling moment as visitors can walk right behind the curtain of water for unforgettable photos.
