The island is managed by The Wildlife Trust and is Wales' only marine nature reserve, so it is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

With up to 250 visitors a day usually during the peak holiday season, the puffin and their friends are free to roam safely around the island which measures just 2 by 1.5 miles.

The rugged island of Skomar is a marine nature reserve in which when you're there, it feels a million miles from anywhere!

Visitors can get boat trips to and from the island from now up until September. The crossings cost £30 per adult and £24 per child (aged 2-11) for trips that land on the island.
