Bath is known for being a quirky city with loads of ancient history behind it, and you'll often find majority of tourists heading to the Roman Baths. Whilst you won't find 50ft waterfalls and infinity pools to jump in, there are some cool and interesting hidden gems scattered around Bath which even some of the locals don't know about, let alone the tourists!

In this article, we share the top 10 hidden gems in Bath which you need to add to your Bath bucket list this year. We hope you enjoy!

1) Warleigh Weir

An awesome place to swim, paddle board and even kayak (especially in the summer!). You can walk to Warleigh Weir from the University of Bath, in which you'll be rewarded with some amazing views. We recommend using swimming/paddling shoes as it can be quite rocky and slippery.

2) Sham Castle

Sham Castle is a gorgeous looking castle on the top of a hill overlooking the city that is Bath. Even though it's only the front part of the castle, it is still pretty impressive! The castle is around 100 years old, and rewards its visitors with amazing views of Bath.

3) Beazer Garden Maze

The Beazer Garden Maze is a cute little labyrinth maze that can be done in around 5 minutes, and is quite close by the central district. As it's only a quick thing to see/do, we wouldn't recommend all the way here just to see this.

4) The View @ Bath Abbey Tower

Before we get the angry comments stating Bath Abbey is not a hidden gem; we know it's not! Bath Abbey is of course very well known, but what some people don't realise is that there's an amazing tower at the top which you can climb (it's quite a steep climb). However, you'll be rewarded with some breath-taking views over the city.

5) Bathwick Meadow

You'll be surprised at how many people are unaware of this little gem, which offers some amazing views over Bath. There are some fantastic walks nearby too, and is best to be admired in the summer when you have clear views!

6) Prior Park

A scenic hidden gem in the heart of Bath, Prior Park is perfect for adventures of all ages! Visitors can enjoy a pleasant circular walk with great views of Bath, the lake and of course the Palladian Bridge. One of the many places to visit if you're around the Bath City area.

7) The Botanical Gardens

A beautiful location especially in the Spring and Summer. It's a great attraction in Bath, it's almost like a mini national trust! Visitors can admire a little stream as well as a cute waterfall. It really is a nice place to walk around and sit and relax. Wildlife and plant enthusiasts will love The Botanical Gardens.

8) Bridgerton Walking Tour

Fans of Bridgerton will love these walking tours which are available around Bath. The tours are usually around 30-40 minutes long, and reviews suggest the tours are very informative!
