Amazing new 100-mile coastal walking trail linking two seaside towns set to open soon

A brand-new circular walking trail stretching 100 miles and weaving through several charming towns and villages in the UK is due to officially open this September.
The route takes walkers across some of Devon’s most stunning countryside, offering spectacular views and plenty of peaceful spots along the way.
Created to showcase the beauty of the region, the South Hams Way links the rugged moors of Dartmoor with rolling farmland, quiet estuaries, and the breathtaking coastline of the South West Coast Path.
The trail has been thoughtfully split into ten parts, each ranging from 7 to 13.4 miles, making it suitable for both serious hikers planning a multi-day trek and casual walkers who just want a scenic day out.
An opening event will take place at Borough Park in Totnes on 14 September at 10.30am, next to the Pavilion Leisure Centre, according to The Moorlander.
In total, the route covers 101 miles, broken into ten sections with distances that vary from 7 miles to just over 13 miles.
Walkers can enjoy a wide mix of scenery, from Dartmoor’s open moorlands to South Devon’s rolling hills, wooded valleys and unspoilt countryside.
The trail also crosses five picturesque estuaries; Yealm, Erme, Avon, Kingsbridge and Salcombe, plus the Dart, while passing through welcoming towns and villages where visitors can find food, places to stay and plenty of local charm.
Parts of the route connect with existing favourites like the Dartmoor Way and the South West Coast Path, creating a diverse and well-connected walking experience throughout.
