Four of the world’s top beaches are right here in the UK

According to Enjoy Travel’s list of the top 50 beaches in the world, four beaches from the UK have made the cut.
In 12th place is Luskentyre Beach, found on the Isle of Harris in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides.
TripAdvisor reviews describe it as a “little slice of the Maldives”, and it has even won the Scottish Beach Award thanks to its natural beauty and incredible scenery.
Another visitor wrote on TripAdvisor: “Words cannot explain how stunning this beach is… I’d never guess I was in Scotland. The sand is so clean and smooth, and the water is the brightest blue. We kept walking along the shore, amazed at how perfect it all looked.”
While Luskentyre is breathtaking, the weather will decide whether you’ll want to paddle in the sea or simply enjoy the view.
The next UK spot on the “top 50 beaches across the world” list is Porthcurno Beach in Cornwall.
With its warmer southern weather, Porthcurno Beach is loved for its “really clear water and beautiful white sand”.
However, some people on TripAdvisor did warn that reaching it can be tricky, as it involves “a bit of a walk” which may be difficult for anyone with mobility problems.
One person explained: “The walk down to the beach is long, and very steep near the end. If walking is tough for you, it’s quite challenging, especially on the way back up because the sand is loose and hard to climb.”
Whitesands Beach in Wales, close to St Davids in Pembrokeshire, holds the 28th spot on the worldwide list.
And taking 39th place is Alum Chine Beach in Bournemouth, Dorset, found along England’s south coast.

As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since the pandemic is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!
