There’s a peaceful spot in Cornwall that not many people know about. On the Rame Peninsula, the villages of Cawsand and Kingsand offer a calm and quiet escape from the crowds.
When the sun comes out in the UK, there are so many lovely places to visit. You’ll find white sandy beaches with blue water, old cobbled streets, and pretty little villages.
Summer holidays are the perfect time to get out and explore some of the country’s most loved seaside towns and countryside spots.
Places like the Cotswolds, Weymouth, Scarborough, St Ives and Whitby are all popular choices, so they’re often packed with people during the warmer months.
But if you’d rather enjoy the coast without loads of tourists and camera phones, there’s a quiet corner of Cornwall with lovely views, peaceful beaches and a really calm atmosphere.
On the south-east coast, you’ll find the twin villages of Cawsand and Kingsand. They’ve got everything you need for a relaxing break by the sea.
These villages sit on the Rame Peninsula, sometimes called Cornwall’s ‘forgotten corner’. It’s an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and it stays nice and quiet even in summer.
Even though it’s near some of Cornwall’s busiest tourist spots, this area has stayed peaceful. The winding streets, fishing boats and small beaches make it feel like a secret that not many people know about.
With their charming houses, sea views and laid-back feel, Cawsand and Kingsand are the perfect places to visit if you want to avoid the usual crowds.

As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since the pandemic is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!
Litter tends to spread, so if you see any and are able to pick it up and dispose of it outside the hidden gem, it will help keep the area tidy.
