The hidden gem road trip featuring a waterfall ranked among the UK’s best

A waterfall in North Wales has been listed as one of the best hidden road trip stops in the UK, according to new research.
This hidden gem, a striking 70 foot waterfall, has earned a place in the top ten scenic destinations for a countryside drive.
It is the only location in Wales to make the top ten list. The waterfall is created by the River Ffyddion and is surrounded by small caves and woodland walking trails.
There is free parking close by and visitors are asked to leave a suggested donation of 50p, according to the Express.
The study was carried out by researchers at Hippo Leasing, who looked at Instagram and TikTok hashtag data linked to 173 UK road trip destinations.
They focused on how many posts each place had and highlighted the least shared but most beautiful spots that promise a peaceful visit.
Rhaeadr Dyserth has around 246 posts and came in seventh place on the list. Berneray West Beach on the Isle of Berneray in Scotland took first place as the UK’s top hidden gem road trip destination, with fewer than 100 posts across Instagram and TikTok combined.
Also in Scotland, Eas a’Bhradain on the Isle of Skye ranked second, while Blackslee Waterfall in Northern Ireland was placed third.
Closer to home, Ritson’s Force in the Lake District and East Gill Force in the Yorkshire Dales also made it into the top ten.
