The tiny village, with just 200 residents, is often called the "prettiest little village of the north" and is known as a "magical" place to visit.
Tucked away in North Yorkshire, this charming village has earned the title for its beautiful and enchanting surroundings.
Located near the Tabular Hills, within the stunning North York Moors National Park, the village is famous for its classic stone cottages and a walnut tree that stands proudly in the centre.
Despite its small size, the village has a rich history, with 29 listed buildings scattered around. Many on social media have called this charming village a "hidden gem."
Hutton-le-Hole was featured on CNN Traveller’s list of the UK’s "most beautiful villages," praised for its charm in all types of weather.
The village offers plenty to see and do, from cosy tea rooms and lovely gift shops to interesting historic sites. One of the main attractions is the Ryedale Folk Museum, which showcases Yorkshire’s long history.
The museum holds over 40,000 items, with artifacts dating from the Iron Age to the 1950s.
Just outside the village, you’ll find walking trails that lead out onto the stunning Yorkshire Moors, where the purple heather creates a breathtaking backdrop for hikers and walkers.
Remember - LeaveNoTrace!
As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since the pandemic is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!
Litter tends to spread, so if you see any and are able to pick it up and dispose of it outside the hidden gem, it will help keep the area tidy.
