Over the past month, online searches for waterfall walks near me have jumped by 250 per cent, as more people head outdoors to shake off the January blues and enjoy time in nature.
Holiday experts at Sally’s Cottages studied TikTok data to uncover the UK’s best and most hidden waterfall walks.
This hidden gem, located between West Quantoxhead and Doniford near Watchet in Somerset, has two waterfalls and secured third place on the list.
The research showed that only six TikTok posts mention this tucked away coastal waterfall in Somerset.
Across the whole UK, only Carbost Burn in Scotland with two posts and Rhaeadr y Parc Mawr in Wales with one post had even fewer mentions on TikTok.
Positioned at the base of the Quantock Hills, the waterfalls at St Audrie’s Bay spill over a cliff edge onto the beach below, creating a truly memorable sight.
You can reach the bay by following a path down from a nearby holiday park, which also offers parking and a small shop.
Although the path to the beach includes a number of steps, it is well looked after and easy to follow.
The beach itself is made up of sand, smooth pebbles, rocks and shingle, and it is also welcoming to dogs.
Remember - LeaveNoTrace!
As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since the pandemic is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!
Litter tends to spread, so if you see any and are able to pick it up and dispose of it outside the hidden gem, it will help keep the area tidy.
