We are right in the middle of the busy holiday season, with people from all over the UK heading abroad for sunshine and a much-needed break.
Even though there are countless places around the world with warm weather and beautiful beaches, the Caribbean is often seen as one of the very best.
The Atlantic region has long been a dream destination for many travellers, and millions of people visit each year, including lots from the UK.

But you don’t actually need to fly far to enjoy a Caribbean-style escape, because one small group of islands has been described by Country Living as England’s own version of the Caribbean.
Just 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall, holidaymakers can discover the stunning Isles of Scilly.
This island group, made up of more than 140 tiny and larger islands, is famous for its bright white sand, amazing wildlife and beautiful gardens filled with colourful plants.
On a TripAdvisor forum, one visitor wrote: "The Scillies truly are idyllic. Quiet, 'everyone-knows-everyone' island life against a backdrop of Caribbean-coloured (but not temperature!) sea, white sandy beaches and tropical flowers."
There are over 35 beaches for visitors to choose from, including Porthcressa Beach in Hugh Town, which holds an impressive 4.9 stars. This unspoilt stretch of sand is often praised for its lovely views and handy nearby facilities.
One traveller said: "It is the most amazing place - my favourite holiday destination for the last 25+ years."
Another shared: "Lovely beach. Gorgeous views. Chilled evenings eating a takeaway or having a drink. Great atmosphere. Mixture of people enjoying the chilled evening. Only place I've experienced this."
Tresco Abbey Garden is another highlight on one of the islands. This extraordinary garden is home to unusual flowers, Mediterranean plants and rare species brought from all around the world.
Remember - LeaveNoTrace!
As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since the pandemic is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!
Litter tends to spread, so if you see any and are able to pick it up and dispose of it outside the hidden gem, it will help keep the area tidy.
