A new report has revealed the prettiest winter walk in the UK. Britain is full of incredible walking routes, from the dramatic cliffs along the Jurassic Coast in southern England to the wide open views of North Wales.
Beautiful paths can be found all over the country. If you want a peaceful winter walk to escape the busy run up to Christmas, this one could be the perfect choice.
Photo company Cewe looked at different sets of data to work out which UK walks are best in winter for scenery and taking photos.
Each place was scored using things like how many TikTok videos had been watched, how many reviews it had and how often people mentioned winter in those reviews.
The top walk was not in England or Wales, but north of the border in Scotland.
According to the study, the most beautiful winter walk in the UK is found in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
This was Scotland’s first national park and covers a huge area of 1,865 square kilometres.
Visitors will discover mountains, lochs, rivers and untouched woodland, all waiting to be explored along the many walking routes in the park.
People who have already visited Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park have shared plenty of positive feedback. The study found that 814 online reviews mentioned winter when talking about this area.
On TripAdvisor, both tourists and locals had glowing reviews. One person said: "This place is absolutely beautiful.
It is calm and relaxing. Watching the sunlight sparkle on the water feels magical. If you want somewhere truly special, this is it. A real Scottish gem."
Another reviewer wrote: "I have loved this part of Scotland since I first visited with my parents as a child.
They enjoyed travelling around the Trossachs and Loch Lomond, and now I understand why. If you step just a little away from the main paths, you will find real peace and quiet."
A third added: "What a breathtaking and beautiful landscape. I cannot remember seeing scenery this stunning anywhere else before. There are endless views filled with natural beauty."
